New VOICE Strategic Plan 2024-2029

We are happy to unveil the VOICE Strategic Plan 2024-2029, which will chart the path of the VOICE network for the next five years. This plan embodies our firm commitment to supporting crisis-affected populations through principled humanitarian action, addressing evolving challenges and escalating needs.

The new strategic plan focuses on three strategic goals to ensure an efficient and effective EU humanitarian system:

1. Advocate for principled humanitarian response: Ensure that humanitarian aid is needs-based and in line with International Humanitarian Law (IHL), safeguarding humanitarian actors from the impacts of sanctions regimes and counterterrorism legislation.

2. Secure adequate funding and coherent policies: Mobilise collective efforts to influence EU and Member State policies, addressing protracted crises and building climate resilience, while ensuring better coordination and harmonisation among European donors.

3. Strengthen the role of humanitarian NGOs: Enhance partnerships between NGOs and the EU, focusing on localised responses and including local responders in decision-making processes to improve the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of humanitarian aid.
