Welthungerhilfe: With all powers against hunger
In 2015, the G7 countries committed to liberating 500 million people worldwide from hunger. However, since 2015, the number of people suffering from hunger has been steadily rising again - most recently up to 811 million. Also, in view of the war in Ukraine, an increasingly tense global food situation is to be expected. How can the UN goal "Zero Hunger by 2030" be achieved? What course must the G7 set in Elmau?
To discuss these questions Welthungerhilfe has organised a high-level panel:
• Dr Bärbel Kofler, Parliamentary State Secretary,
Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development
• Mathias Mogge, Secretary General, Deutsche Welthungerhilfe e.V.
• Dr Elizabeth Kimani-Murage, Senior Research Scientist and Lecturer, African Population and Health Research Center Nairobi
• Dr Stefanos Fotiou, Director, Office of Sustainable Development Goals, FAO
