As the year 2030 looms, the world is confronting a polycrisis that is exacerbating social, economic, and generational inequalities. The 2023 Global Hunger Index (GHI) explores the critical role of youth in shaping food systems that fulfill the right to adequate food for current and future generations. Youth have been disproportionately affected by the devastating impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and the escalating climate crisis and they are in line to inherit dysfunctional food systems.

Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and Concern Worldwide invite you to a conversation that spotlights diverse experiences of youth from around the world. Join young activists, researchers, and policymakers in a discussion on the importance of youth in policy making and how to harness the power of young people to achieve a just, sustainable, and food- and nutrition-secure future.

Please mark your calendars and register to join us for the 2023 Global Hunger Index launch
