COP28
This year, the annual Conference of the Parties (COP) will take place in Dubai, UAE, from November 30 to December 12, 2023.
Building on the commitments and progress of previous years, COP28 will continue assessing global efforts in addressing climate change. During the event, the world’s nations will negotiate, collaborate, and innovate to promote collective goals under the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
This year, the event will not only focus on the fight against climate change but also on addressing the humanitarian crises exacerbated by it. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), along with the COP28 presidency, United Arab Emirates, and other partners aims to use its presence at COP28 to ensure the voices of people caught up in climate crises are heard.
