Throughout the year, VOICE produces and disseminates key documents reflecting on humanitarian aid issues at the EU level and from an NGO perspective. They are addressed to decision-makers within the European institutions, at the National level, to NGO networks and other stakeholders of the humanitarian community, as well as to the VOICE members. Some documents are produced by the VOICE Secretariat with the support of VOICE members while others are publications from members and other key stakeholders in the humanitarian sector.

Tags: Syrian crisis, Somalia, Hunger, Food security

This recent publication, "Price Shocks 2025", released by World Vision, sheds light on high food prices fuelling a hunger pandemic. In response to the global hunger crisis, World Vision has been conducting an annual food price survey since 2021, monitoring both year-on-year fluctuations in food prices, as well as comparing the cost of a standard food basket in terms of hours worked between countries. This report is the fourth iteration of World Vision's annual survey and includes data from almost 80 countries where World Vision works. The data for the survey is based on data collected by World Vision staff and volunteers.
Apart from the findings, the report contains action needed to address food price inflation and food insecurity, ensuring that both immediate and long-term needs are met.
