The statement emphasizes critical priorities, including:
- Fully funding the 2025 Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO): Urgent and flexible funding is needed to enable timely, principled responses.
- Addressing violations of IHL: Ensuring civilian protection and holding parties accountable for attacks on schools, hospitals, and humanitarian workers.
- Strengthening local leadership: Substantially increasing funding to local and national actors, including women-led organizations, and ensuring accountability to affected communities.
- Investing in underfunded sectors: Gender and GBV, education in emergencies, and child protection must receive the attention they deserve.
- Advancing the humanitarian-development-peace nexus: Greater collaboration is required to foster resilience in fragile settings.
