VOICE Annual Report 2022
The VOICE Annual Report 2022 is out! It provides you with an overview of the network’s activities and achievements of the past year.
In a world that sees 69 countries around the world facing crises that require humanitarian action and where the number of people in need is constantly growing, the high levels of commitment and professionalism of NGOs working in the humanitarian sector is more important than ever.
VOICE stands ready to collaborate with the EU, Members States and the affected communities to work together to meet the record level of needs while respecting humanitarian principles.
Here are some highlights of our work during 2022:
- We have mobilised our joint advocacy efforts to increase the EU’s Humanitarian Budget for 2023 and to enhance quality funding in line with the Grand Bargain 2.0 commitments.
- We have maintained a high level of collaboration with the EU institutions, namely the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), the European Parliament and the rotating Presidency of the Council.
- We have advocated throughout 2022 to remind EU stakeholders of the importance of humanitarian principles.
- We have gathered and widely disseminated VOICE members’ activities and expertise on climate resilience and nexus approaches.
