Co-organised by seven VOICE member organisations and Malian photographer Tiécoura N’Daou, the exhibition moves beyond statistics to centre the lived experiences of people affected by displacement, insecurity and protracted crisis.

Through photographs and testimonies, it portrays the crisis from the perspective of those who experience it every day. It also illustrates how humanitarian organisations, with essential support from DG ECHO, are working alongside affected communities to respond to urgent needs.

By situating individual experiences within the broader dynamics of protracted crisis, the initiative shows how displacement and insecurity are shaped by political choices and long-term underinvestment. It reinforces the importance of sustained engagement to protect civilians and address needs in fragile contexts, while recognising the agency of those most affected.

The exhibition is open to the public at Halles Saint-Géry from 23 January to 12 February, daily from 10:00 to 18:00, with free admission.

This a joint initiative by Danish Refugee Council, International Rescue Committee, Norwegian Refugee Council, Action Against Hunger, Médecins du Monde Belgique, International Medical Corps, and Première Urgence Internationale.
