Caritas humanitarian report launch & 30th anniversary
For the past three decades, Caritas Europa member organisations have committed themselves to serving the most vulnerable in our society, both in Europe and abroad. To commemorate this milestone, they are releasing their landmark report “Unfulfilled promises: Addressing the gap between commitments and practice in locally led humanitarian action.” This report delves into critical questions regarding what gaps remain in attempts to shift the humanitarian system towards locally led humanitarian action.
During the launch event, Caritas will share and discuss the findings of this research with EU-level policymakers, local/national actors and donors in a meaningful dialogue on how to promote and operationalise the empowerment of local humanitarian actors. The launch event will be followed by the anniversary celebrations and reception.
