Launch of the Civil Society State of the Union (CS SOTEU) 2023 report

The launch of the Civil Society State of the Union report comes after months of collaboration of a coalition of civil society organisations. The report presents our vision and key recommendations as civil society for a more democratic and socially and environmentally just European Union.

The CS SOTEU 2023 report, addressed to EU institutions and EU Member States, has been produced by Civil Society Europe's Working Group on the CS SOTEU, a WG that is following up on the Conference on the Future of Europe and supporting civil society and citizens’ participation in EU democracy. Altogether, 43 independent European networks of civil society organisations (CSOs) specialised in different sectors contributed to this report.
