Exchange of Views with the European Parliament's Security and Defence Committee (SEDE)

Geneva Call is pleased to invite you to an Exchange of Views with the European Parliament's Security and Defence Committee (SEDE) on September 2, from 9:15h to 10:15h.

The Exchange of Views will take place at the SPAAK 3C050 room of the European Parliament, and will serve to discuss Geneva Call's IHL-based engagement with armed groups and de facto authorities, as well as to examine the challenges that growing use of high-tech warfare pose to the protection of civilians. Additionally, the session will delve into the work of Geneva Call in some of the most pressing humanitarian contexts, including Sudan, the Sahel, Syria, Iraq or Lebanon. 

The session will feature Geneva Call's Director-General, Mr. Délétroz, and Director of Operations, Mr. Hameed, and will include a Q&A space for discussion with the Committee's MEPs. Please note that the session will be livestreamed here.
