Rafael de Prado Pérez

Rafael de Prado Pérez works as Director of Advocacy and Institutional Relations at Acción contra el Hambre, Spain.  Rafael has extensive experience in humanitarian affairs, public policy and international law. In his current role at Acción contra el Hambre, he leads strategic advocacy, legal analysis and engagement with EU institutions, Member States and multilateral actors, with a particular focus on humanitarian action, hunger, humanitarian access and the protection of civilians.

Previously serving as Humanitarian Director at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Development Agency, Rafael has built strong expertise in connecting operational realities with high-level policy processes. He is committed to promoting rights-based humanitarian action and strengthening the link between local, national and global humanitarian agendas.
