Judith Blanco Guillén

Junior Advocacy Assistant

Judith’s work in the VOICE Secretariat focuses on supporting advocacy and partnership-related activities, including the facilitation of the Humanitarian Partnership Watch Group and the Resilience-Nexus Working Group.

Judith joined VOICE in January 2025 as a Junior Advocacy Assistant. Prior to that, she gained diverse experience in the humanitarian and public sectors. At the European Commission's Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO), she worked as a Blue Book trainee for the Yemen desk, supporting key phases of the humanitarian project cycle. During her time at UNHCR Spain, she coordinated the Spanish Refugee Forum, contributed to advocacy campaigns and supported external relations tasks. Additionally, at the Spanish Ministry of Interior’s Asylum and Refuge Office, she conducted research on asylum policies and the treatment of social minorities.

Judith holds a master’s degree in Contemporary Arab and Islamic Studies from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Passionate about humanitarian principles, she is committed to advocating for principled, needs-based EU humanitarian action.
