New VOICE President: Pauline Chetcuti

We are delighted to announce that Pauline Chetcuti has been elected as the new VOICE President at the General Assembly on June 20, 2024 in Brussels. Currently serving as the Head of Humanitarian Campaigns and Advocacy at Oxfam International, Pauline brings a wealth of expertise in campaign strategy, research, evidence-based advocacy, and public representation. She is the first-ever woman VOICE President. Her extensive experience spans from national to international NGOs and the UN, including our member organisations Action Contre la Faim and Humanity and Inclusion, at country and global levels.

Throughout her career, Pauline has engaged with high-level decision-makers in the EU, UN, and Member States. She has been an active participant in networks like Coordination Sud, Bond, ICVA, and IASC. She dedicates her work to influencing and campaigning for the improvement of the humanitarian sector, and for better respect of the norms that protect all civilians, and our humanity.

Her commitment to upholding humanitarian principles and prioritizing the voices of marginalised communities has been a cornerstone of her work.

Dedicated to advancing a principled and transformative system through a feminist approach, she is passionate about promoting ethical and efficient humanitarian action, countering the politicisation of European solidarity with crisis-affected populations.

“I am looking forward to serving as president and to work collaboratively with the board, the secretariat and all the members of VOICE to advance a shared vision for a principled and transformed system, and to stand up for humanity”.

Pauline is committed to supporting VOICE’s role in enabling quality and effective humanitarian response worldwide and promoting the added value of NGOs. We look forward to strengthening our collective voice during her presidency.
