Peter Doyle

Emergency Director

Concern Worldwide, Ireland

Peter Doyle has over 20 years’ experience in humanitarian action encompassing extensive country-level and head office experience.  Having started as a volunteer with a national NGO in El Salvador, he spent another decade working in multiple countries in senior management roles, from Central America to the Caribbean and then to mainly francophone countries in Africa.

He has been working with Concern Worldwide since 2002 and is their Emergency Director based in Dublin, Ireland.  His responsibilities include promoting adherence to the organisation’s commitment to the delivery of principled humanitarian responses, and for developing its capacity to respond efficiently and effectively to emergencies in new and existing countries of operation. He is also responsible for ensuring that good practice is identified and adhered to in all aspects of security risk management, protection and safeguarding, as well as supplies and logistics. 

Peter has a degree in History and Politics from University College Dublin as well as a Masters of Social Science from Queen’s University Belfast.  He is also a qualified Executive Coach.
