Miro Modrusan
Senior Localisation Manager
Miro Modrusan joined VOICE in August 2026 as Senior Localisation Manager, serving as the focal point for engagement with EU Institutions and Member States on localisation and locally led humanitarian response, and managing the VOICE Pilot Working Group on Localisation.
Miro brings more than three decades of humanitarian experience. Since 1993 he has worked across a wide range of contexts, including DPR Korea, Lebanon, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan and Ukraine. Over his career he has worked with the British Red Cross, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, UNOCHA, ACAPS, Sphere and INTERSOS, spanning coordination and management of humanitarian response, as well as working on range of other issues, including humanitarian advocacy, analysis and policy. Most recently, Miro served as INTERSOS Representative and Policy Advisor in Geneva, where he engaged closely with humanitarian networks and international institutions and took part in numerous VOICE events and European Humanitarian Forum activities. In his role at VOICE, Miro is focused on advancing the objectives of the localisation pilot project and strengthening dialogue between European NGOs and EU decision-makers on locally led humanitarian action.
